Rest in the Storm

Inspired by a colorful sky I’ve seen while driving home I made Rest in the Storm later that day, the desire to draw was finally there again and the barriers shattered. Personally this was also planned and done as a speedpainting but it turned out to be better than just a painting made in hurry. Similar to the last iamges I made this with a aggressive distortion in the sun, blurred elements in air, crushed rocks to create a motion and a noisy background. Whenever I do such artworks I start simple with the bottom part and an interesting color gradient as base to build on. Then I focus on details that could possibly arouse peoples attention like the odd sun.
